MSS Dashboards
This is an informal project started adjacent to MSS's summer 2022 projects. Its intent is to demonstrate to the whole MSS team the potential results of their efforts if their summer projets reach fruition. Dashboards are a very useful and efficient way to use technology to quickly share information for data based decision making.
Concept
- Dashboards report statistics on specific performance indicators
- Dashboards depend on the existence of a data system that captures and analyses data and provides the needed statistics
- Examples of performance indicators: Average GPA, School Percentile Rank, Average Daily Absence
- Examples of data systems: Student Report Card System, Student Attendance System, MSS Accounting Software and System
What Enabled This Dashboard
- MSS has been using the software Quickbooks to manage its finances. The financial data came from that system.
- The MSS Report Card Project of 2022 enabled the capture of student grade and attendance. The student data came from that system.
