Textbooks Status

Note that data are missing or unverified so the textbook inventory needs to be cleaned up and corrected. But there is enough data to see some patterns start to emerge.
Some subjects do not have or are short of instructional materials.- Palauan does not have any materials
- Religion did not report textbook counts
- Some textbooks were in poor condition effectively leaving the class with no textbooks (eg., Eng Gr 3, has 28 text books all in poor condition)
- A lot of textbooks are near 20 years old.
- Maybe some subjects are ok with older materials? If so, an evaluation should be done and filed so we have paperwork to justify the age.
- For the lower grades, newer textbooks are better in terms of matching the material to child development. Unfortunately, lower grade textbooks are old also.
- Reading jumps between Tropies and Signatures series from grade 1 to 4.
- Science switches from Harcourt to Glencoe between 6 to 7 grade.
